My Gift to You- the 2014 Belfiglio Design Calendar

As many of you know, I had a nasty leg ligament injury this year, which severely limited my art producing abilities. I was unable to get the popular 2014 Belfiglio Design Calendar printed in time for the holidays. So to say thank you for your support and patronage, I'm offering the 2014 Calendar to you for free! All you need to do is download the page off the site and print it on your own printer...and put it where you can see it! I will post 2 months at a time so check back for the next installment. Hopefully, as I heal, I will have the 2015 Calendar ready for shipping as usual next Fall. Thank you for all your patronage and support this rather difficult year! Lee Evan B.

State Capitol building exhibit! Feb. 2012!

Ah Winter!

The time for hibernation, for snuggling in the studio and creating while the snow falls outside! I am not fond of winter, after all, there is only so much you can do with gray in the Pacific Northwest, but this year had an intersting twist!  I was invited to exhibit one of my paintings at the Washington State Capitol Building in Olympia, WA for this Legislative session! This is pretty heady stuff! I sent them "Almost Summer-Walla Walla" and went down to see it hanging in the Democratic Caucus Room, just off the floor of the House in the Capitol Building! It was so exciting! I am deeply honored to have been asked, and even more honored to have been asked back again to exhibit another painting for the next Legislative session! There are very few artists who can list such a venue on their resumes!  See the pictures below!

2013 Calendar

In other news: I'm starting research for the 2013 Calendar! Do you have a quote you think would be fun to see on it? Send it to me! I'm starting a potential 2013 quote collection now. Who knows, you may be able to see your quote on next year's calendar!

Notecards-everyone has a favorite!

Right now,  I offer a set of notecards with 12 different images. But do you have a favorite? I will soon be offering a service where I will custom build a set of notecards for you, 6 each of up to 2 of your favorite images! You can order 6 of the red geraniums and 6 of the mailboxes for example, or 12 of one image.  (Same price: $18 for 12 cards, plus $3 shipping/handling) Watch the SHOP page for details and you can always contact me.

Also coming-2012 Calendar Art Print!

Because of popular demand (which I love, by the way) I am offering an 8 x 10 print of the 2012 Calendar artwork only for $15 ($3 shipping if you want it mailed to you).  I will post it in both the Gallery and Shop pages.

Other Winter News:

New in the Gallery!-2 new watercolor pieces!

-The first one "Autumn Fire" is a donation to the Firefighters Burn Institute Silent Auction Fundraiser in the Sacramento area, March 3rd. ( http://ffburn.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Crab-Feed-Flyer-2012.jpg )This worthy organization helps fund the UC Davis Burn Unit which took care of my father, and provides support and education for families of burn victims.

-The second one "Roccamontepiano Autumn" is a small watercolor of the ancestral home of the Belfiglio family in Abruzzi, Italy. While the town itself is small, the setting is really spectacular at the entrance to Italy's big, scenic National Park.

I'm currently working on a large "grapes" piece on commission called "The Arbor". I hope to have that one finished by mid March in time to work on some miniatures for the Parklane Gallery Miniature Show in Kirkland, WA.

Thank you for your comments, your support and your enthusiasm for my work! It means a lot to me! Stay tuned! There is more to come!  Time to look forward to Spring! Lee B.

Busy Times! December 2011

Busy Times!

December 2011

The holiday season is in full swing! I just finished making a batch of holiday fudge, a family tradition. It brings back memories of my grandmother doing the same thing for all of us kids. Her fudge was made that much sweeter by the fact that we all knew (including Grandma) that our mothers would never approve! Things always seem to happen during the holidays and this year is no exception. Life has been exciting for Belfiglio Design as business has seemed to explode!

The first exciting news is that I have listened to the many requests for notecards of my work and am offering A SET OF NEW NOTECARDS! Each set consists of 12 notecards and envelopes, each of a different picture from my gallery. They are priced the same as the calendars: $18 per set, with $3 shipping/handling and applicable tax for a total of $21. Use the same downloadable form for the calendars but specify NOTECARDS on the form. If you want them sent somewhere as a gift, make sure to note that too.

OTHER NEWS! I have been invited to participate in the House Democratic Caucus Art Project which is a fancy way of saying I have been invited to exhibit "Almost Summer-Walla Walla" in the Washington State Capitol Building in Olympia, Washington! This is a huge honor and I am very excited. It will be hung in the Democratic Caucus Room for the duration of the Legislative Session beginning January 2012!

EVEN MORE NEWS! The pastel piece of the grapes "Blue Notes" has been sold  and will soon find a new home in the United Kingdom! I have a new commission for a tall, narrow, acrylic work, of a grapevine not unlike some of my other signature grape pieces. And lastly, the 2012 calendars have been selling like hotcakes, so much so that I have actually had to do a second printing, so they are still available!

So as you can see, life has been hopping! As soon as I finish this commission, I will be working on pieces for the Spring miniature shows for the Parklane Gallery in Kirkland WA and Gallery North in Edmonds, WA for 2012.

So I will close by wishing all of you a very Happy Holiday Season filled with good things (and fudge...ah chocolate!)  Thank you so much for your support, encouragement and patronage in 2011!  I am sending you my sincerest best wishes for a wonderful (and creative!) 2012!

Happy Holidays!

Lee Evan
